Frequency of transposable elements and fungicide resistance in Botrytis Cinerea Pers. populations on strawberries from Aydin and Mersin provinces in Turkey

Strawberry is a delicious fruit that can be consumed fresh or/and used in the industry. One of important factors affect yield plant protection problems. Fungicides because metabolites they produce, especially their presence foods, pose threat to health and also cause economic Botrytis cinerea causes grey mold disease over 220 species. Samples were collected from five different localities Aydın Mersin province. incubated on um then isolated mixed cultures. Morphological molecular identification samples made. Transposon sites amplified with PCR. In total 154 B.cinerea which Transposa 20.1 %, Boty 46.1 Flipper 10.4 % Vacuma 23.4 population 19.5 48.3 9.2 23.0 20.9 43.3 11.9 23.9 found. fungicide resistant test, spore tests, Cyprodinil was found most effective while fenhexamid less effective. mycelium at lowest concentration applied carbendazim even highest concentration. Although short-term results are limited, long-term transposon profiling help management.
